Do you use a drone over the water in Saint-Tropez?
Rarely. Drone flight is heavily restricted around Saint-Tropez, especially in summer, so we never promise aerial images. Instead we shoot from the deck, from the tender running alongside, and at water level, which produces the dynamic angles most owners actually print. Where a legal aerial option exists, we advise case by case. French rules changed on 1 January 2026: the arrêté of 23 December 2025 opened flight over built-up areas to professional operators in the open category, with ten working days notice, a 120 metre ceiling and no flight over uninvolved people. Municipal and prefectural orders can also close beaches to drones between June and September.
Can you shoot during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez?
Yes, and it is one of the best weeks of the year, when the bay fills with classic yachts in late September and early October. Book several weeks ahead, as those dates are in high demand, and plan a morning start, the racing traffic and the light are both better early.
