About Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez is the iconic luxury heart of the French Riviera. From the historic Old Port and the bohemian streets of La Ponche to the celebrity beach clubs at Pampelonne and the cliff-top villas of Ramatuelle, every angle tells a story.

Yacht sessions in Saint-Tropez follow the rhythm of the port. Smaller yachts moor stern to the quay in the old port, ideal for golden hour images with the pastel facades behind, while larger yachts anchor in the gulf or off Pampelonne and we board by tender. Mid-morning gives the cleanest light on the water, before the afternoon haze settles in, and late September brings Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, when the bay fills with classic sailing yachts. We coordinate timing directly with your captain or charter broker.

Frequently asked questions

Can you photograph on a chartered yacht at anchor off Pampelonne?

Yes, this is one of our most requested sessions in Saint-Tropez. We coordinate boarding with your captain or charter broker, come out by tender, and work around your day rather than staging it. Swim stops, lunch on deck and the sail back toward the old port all photograph beautifully.

How much does a yacht photographer cost in Saint-Tropez?

A half-day at 1,890 € all taxes included covers most days at anchor, from boarding to the late afternoon swim. A full-day cruise along the peninsula is 2,890 €, and a one hour session at the quay starts at 790 €. Your first edited images arrive within 48 hours, the complete gallery within 7 days.

Do you use a drone over the water in Saint-Tropez?

Rarely. Drone flight is heavily restricted around Saint-Tropez, especially in summer, so we never promise aerial images. Instead we shoot from the deck, from the tender running alongside, and at water level, which produces the dynamic angles most owners actually print. Where a legal aerial option exists, we advise case by case. French rules changed on 1 January 2026: the arrêté of 23 December 2025 opened flight over built-up areas to professional operators in the open category, with ten working days notice, a 120 metre ceiling and no flight over uninvolved people. Municipal and prefectural orders can also close beaches to drones between June and September.

Can you shoot during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez?

Yes, and it is one of the best weeks of the year, when the bay fills with classic yachts in late September and early October. Book several weeks ahead, as those dates are in high demand, and plan a morning start, the racing traffic and the light are both better early.
